# “Can I pick your brain?” _€49 and a deck._

You wrote one post about how you raised, and now four founders a week want twenty minutes. You read the deck in the DM, you type the three things you would fix, and you never hear whether the round closed. This is the same twenty minutes with a form in front of it: the deck attached, one question, €49, written feedback within five days or an automatic refund. Around it, a weekly dispatch with the investor list, a €250 office-hour slot, a capped founders room, and a syndicate waitlist that puts the deal flow in a pipeline instead of your inbox.

## The pitch they send
instead of _the DM._

Three fields: the deck, the stage with what is already committed, and the one question. That is what you need to write something useful and it is short enough that a founder mid-raise fills it in tonight. The €49 is not a filter for money; it is a filter for seriousness, and the deadline is the promise a cold DM never gets. A €200 raise-ready review, four slots a month, is the deeper version; the scarcity is how the paid newsletters in this niche already sell it.

What you send back

## A read on the pitch,
_not a term sheet._

Five parts of the deck, a score each, one sentence of evidence, and a plain answer to their question. Written in fifteen minutes, sent from the inbox. It is a review of the pitch as a document and a story; it is not an offer, an indication of interest or advice to anyone else to invest, and the template says so. That distinction is what keeps a paid form from looking like pay-to-play.

_Feedback · fleetpay-seed.pdf · Elena → Jonas · 15 Sep_

Problem and wedge **4/5** Owner-operators waiting 45 days on freight invoices is real and specific. Lead with it; it's on slide 6.

Market slide **2/5** “€900bn European payments” is why you hear “too early”. Size the 300k owner-operators in DACH and the fee you take per invoice.

Traction **3/5** 40 trucks, €180k processed. Show the weekly curve, not the total, and name the two carriers.

Team **4/5** Ex-dispatcher plus payments engineer is the right pair. Say who sells.

The ask **3/5** €600k for 18 months is fine; “platform expansion” is not a use of funds. Three line items.

**Your question: it's the market slide, not the wedge**
Fix slide 4 before the next ten meetings. Two angels in the dispatch list write pre-seed logistics cheques; their theses are public.

## Five products,
switched on _in this order._

The form first, because it replaces the DM you already answer. Then the dispatch, which the paid founder newsletters have proven at $15–25 a month; office hours priced like the one-off reviews already on sale; a capped room; and the waitlist that gives your own deal flow a pipeline.

#### Dispatch #19 — what three partners said about pre-seed payments this week

What investors said this week

Three partner conversations, anonymised: why “too early for payments” usually means “I can't see the wedge”, and the one question every fintech pre-seed got asked.

One deck, taken apart

A logistics payments pre-seed (shared with permission). Slide 4 was a €900bn market; the fix was 300k owner-operators and a per-invoice fee. Before and after, two slides.

Term-sheet readpaid

The “pro rata for major investors only” clause: what it does to your angels at Series A and the two words to change.

Investor list, updatedpaid

Twelve additions this week: nine angels and three family offices writing €25–100k pre-seed cheques in DACH and the Nordics, with their public thesis and how they like to be contacted.

Slots

Office hours Tuesday and Thursday evening, €250. Two of the four raise-ready reviews for October are gone.

## What the weekly dispatch
_actually contains._

Every Friday: what investors said this week, one deck taken apart, one term-sheet clause read plainly, and the investor list with this week's additions. The first two blocks go to the free list, which is what gets it forwarded in founder WhatsApp groups. The clause read and the list are the €15 part, which is what founders mid-raise renew for and cancel the month they close.

The list is built from investors who publish their thesis and how they want to be reached; the agent drafts the weekly additions from public sources and your notes, you approve them, and anyone on the list can ask to be removed.

## A room of forty,
not _a channel of four hundred._

Founder rooms with weekly office hours already sell at $79–129 a month, and the peer groups that people pay thousands a year for have one thing in common: a small, vetted core that meets on a fixed schedule. ApplyForm runs the cap, the waitlist and the access; the rhythm below is what makes forty founders stay for the length of a raise and come back for the next one.

- Monday

    **This week's raises thread**

Who is in market, who has a meeting, who needs an intro. The channel your inbox used to be.

- Wednesday

**Deck hot seat, 60 min live**

One member's deck on screen, scored together on the same five dimensions as the form. Recorded.

- Always on

    **Term-sheet channel**

A clause lands at 21:00, someone answers by the next evening. Anything longer than a paragraph becomes an office hour.

- Monthly

    **Operator AMA, no pitching**

A CFO, a Series A partner, a founder who sold. Chatham House rules. The reason people renew after they close.

Why these prices

## Numbers from
the _market._

**$15–25** monthly price of paid founder and deal-flow letters

The VC Lens $15 a month with a weekly briefing and async office hours; Angels & Unicorns $25 with a weekly-updated family-office list. The list is the paid asset.

**$250** a one-off written review, four slots a month

Sold as “when they are gone, they are gone” from a Substack, invoiced by hand because the platform has no one-off product. The €200 raise-ready review is that offer with a refund rail.

**$79–129** monthly office-hour rooms for founders

Weekly Zoom office hours with an ex-VC reviewing decks on screen, async deck feedback, templates. The €99 room mirrors it on Discord or Telegram with a cap.

**$1,000** monthly private advisory, capped at 10 new members a quarter

The top of the ladder in this niche is a subscription with a hard cap. The cap is the product; ApplyForm's member cap and waitlist do the same job.

**~8%** acceptance rate at the best-known founder peer group

Hampton: $8,500 a year, groups of eight meeting ten times a year, 60-day money-back. Vetting and a fixed cadence, not content, is what people pay for.

**10%** Substack's take on the newsletter, plus Stripe

And no way to sell the €49 form or the €250 slot from the same page. Here the letter, the form, the calendar and the room sit behind one link at 20%, with no fixed fee.

Market figures from published industry and platform data, September 2026, rounded. Your prices, volume and retention will differ.

Common worries

## “Isn't a paid pitch form
_pay-to-play?_”

It is pay-for-feedback, and the form says so in the first line: written notes on the deck within five days, no meeting, no investment decision, refunded if you do not reply. Founders already pay $250 for exactly this from newsletter writers with no refund and no deadline. Keep your own investing separate: the syndicate waitlist is a free contact form, and any terms, allocations or paperwork live in your syndicate's regulated structure, not on this page.

**“Am I making a financial promotion?”**

Not if the page sells feedback, a newsletter and office hours. It becomes one the moment it invites anyone to invest in anything, and in the UK that regime applies to social posts and is a criminal offence without authorisation. So: no “join my syndicate for 10× returns”, no deal terms, no performance claims. The waitlist collects contacts; everything else happens off-platform under your own structure. The agent will not write solicitation copy.

**“Will founders think €49 buys a meeting?”**

Only if the form lets them. The description says written feedback, the reply template repeats it, and the office hour is a separate €250 product described as a working session on the pitch. People who want a meeting book the meeting.

**“What about the people on the investor list?”**

List investors who publish their thesis and how they like to be reached, note the public source, and honour removal requests the same day. Business contact details used for their stated purpose is a defensible basis; scraping personal emails is not. The agent drafts additions from public sources only.

## Make “pick your brain”
_a €49 form._

Tell the agent your LinkedIn or X handle. It reads what you post, proposes the pitch form, the dispatch and the office hour with prices from the market, and sets them up when you create the account.
