# General rules for everyone. _Paid intake for the licensed._

Every landlord, freelancer and creator who follows you has a “quick tax question”, and the quick ones take twenty minutes to answer properly. This is a setup with two modes. If you are not licensed, everything is general education: how the rule works, what the deadline is, what to ask your adviser. If you are a Steuerberater, CPA or EA, the same form and the same calendar become paid intake: the situation arrives structured, you have engaged before you open the file, and the platform takes 20% with no fixed fee.

## The call they book
instead of _the DM thread._

A session type with three intake questions: country, entity and situation, income mix and what they want to understand. Your two half-days a week, a fifteen-minute hold while they pay, a Meet link in both calendars, reminders at 24 hours and 1 hour. The description says what the hour is: education on how the rules apply to a situation like theirs. Licensed advisers change one line and it becomes a paid first consultation.

What you send back

## A written summary,
within _the hour after._

The rules you walked through, the thresholds and deadlines that apply, the documents to gather, and the questions to take to whoever files the return. Sent from the booking within an hour of the call. It is what makes €200 defensible and what stops the follow-up DMs, because the answers are on the page. For the licensed, this is the engagement letter's first attachment.

**What we covered** — How a GmbH is taxed compared with an Einzelunternehmen at your income level: corporation tax, trade tax, the salary versus dividend question, and the fixed costs of running one.

**The general rules** — Rental costs are deductible against rental income, not against client income; the building is depreciated at 2% a year, the land is not. Threshold figures and deadlines for 2026 attached.

**Gather before you decide** — Last two returns, the purchase contract and the split of land and building value, your accountant's fee quote for a GmbH year-end.

**Take to your Steuerberater** — Whether a conversion makes sense on your actual figures; the timing of a switch mid-year; the VAT position of the flat. Case-specific answers need a licensed adviser, and these three are case-specific.

## Five products,
switched on _in this order._

The call first, because it is the product with the clearest boundary and the highest price in this niche. Then the form that catches the quick questions, the weekly room, the free deadlines letter that keeps everyone on the list, and the checklist that tags them by situation.

#### October — the advance-payment date, the home-office change, and what a Finanzamt letter actually means

Due this month

Quarterly income-tax advance payment on the 10th. VAT return for September (or Q3) by the 10th, or the 10th of next month with a permanent extension. The 2025 return deadline for the unadvised has passed; here is what happens next.

What changed

The home-office flat-rate rules for 2026, in one paragraph. Who it helps, who it does not, and the one document to keep.

One rule, explained

Depreciation on a rented flat: why the land value is split out, the 2% and 3% rates, and what “Anschaffungsnahe Herstellungskosten” does to a renovation in the first three years.

Notice decoderpaid

Three anonymised letters from this month's room: a Schätzung, a late-filing surcharge and a request for documents. What each one means and how long you have. Full walkthrough in Thursday's recording.

## What the monthly letter
_actually contains._

What is due, what changed, one rule explained, three anonymised notices decoded, one link. The letter itself is free; the full notice walkthrough is the recording from the paid Q&A room, which is what gets people to try it. That is the whole format, twelve times a year, and it is general by design: no reader's own situation appears in it.

Assisted mode means the agent drafts the deadline block from the official calendars and the change note from the sources you paste in; you write the “one rule” paragraph, which is the part your readers cannot get from the tax office's own page.

## One live Q&A a week,
and the _line held._

The tax memberships that work sell exactly this: a weekly live session on tax and money, a vault, and a decoder thread for the letters people are afraid to open, at $19 a month after a seven-day trial. The room is general education; the moment a question needs someone's actual figures, it becomes a €49 form or a €200 call, and if you are not licensed, it becomes a referral. ApplyForm grants and revokes Discord or Telegram access as people pay and cancel; you hold the line.

- Monday

    **Questions thread opens**

Members post the week's questions, anonymised by default. You tag them general or personal; the personal ones get a form link.

The general questions answered on screen with the rule, the threshold and the source. Recorded; the recording is what the free letter links to.

- Always on

    **Notice-decoder channel**

Members post a redacted letter from the tax office; you explain what type it is and how long they have. Never what to write back.

    **Deadline sprint + guest**

A working session the week before a filing date; a payroll, VAT or cross-border specialist once a month.

Why these prices

## Numbers from
the _market._

**$19 / mo** a CPA-led tax membership with a weekly live session

Seven-day trial, weekly live tax and wealth sessions, a vault, a notice decoder. The format the €29 room copies; the price shows the band is $19–99.

**$300 / hr** median rate of advice-only planners

Typical range $250–360. A €200 education hour with a written summary sits just under it and says clearly that it is not the regulated thing.

**$750–2,500** a focused, licensed deep dive on one question

Roth conversion, equity compensation, a restructuring. Where the licensed adviser's version of the same intake form leads once the client is engaged.

**$99 / mo** what tax professionals pay for their own community

A CE-accredited membership for CPAs and EAs at $99 a month or $990 a year, 4,000 trained. Educating professionals monetises more reliably than educating the public.

**$3,000 / yr** a tax library that gives no personal advice at all

A high-earner tax and wealth membership that says in its terms it will not advise on anyone's own situation, and sells anyway. Education-only is a product, not a compromise.

**~200** criminal tax proceedings against influencers in one German state

North Rhine-Westphalia estimates about €300 million in damage; Hesse audited 50 creators in 2025. Your own audience needs this education more than most.

Market figures from published industry and platform data, September 2026, rounded. Your prices, volume and retention will differ.

Common worries

## “Am I allowed to
_answer tax questions?_”

General ones, yes. Case-specific ones depend on where you are and what you hold. In Germany, §5 StBerG reserves “geschäftsmäßige Hilfeleistung in Steuersachen”, business-like help in tax matters, to Steuerberater, lawyers and the other licensed professions; an unlicensed creator answering a paid question about someone's own return is on the wrong side of it, and §8 restricts advertising the service too. In the UK tax advice is unregulated but advisers who deal with HMRC must register; in the US education is open and practitioners follow Circular 230. So the default here is education: the rule, the threshold, the deadline, the question to take to an adviser. If you are licensed, you switch the wording and the form is your paid intake. Either way, the boundary is written on the page before anyone pays.

**“Is this advice or education?”**

Education, unless you are licensed and say otherwise. The form and call descriptions say “general guidance, not case-specific advice”; the reply template ends with what to take to a licensed adviser. If a question cannot be answered generally, refund it. One click, no cost.

**“I am a Steuerberater. Is this worth 20%?”**

For the first consultation and triage, yes: the situation arrives structured, paid and on your calendar, with no fixed fee for a channel that may only be busy from January to April. Ongoing mandates stay in your own practice and billing.

**“What if I get a rule wrong?”**

Cite the source in every answer, date it, and keep the reply to the rule rather than the outcome. A dated, sourced explanation is defensible; a promise about someone's refund is not. Professional-indemnity cover is still yours to arrange.

## The quick tax question,
_with a boundary and a price._

Tell the agent your YouTube, LinkedIn or Instagram handle and whether you are licensed. It reads your content, proposes the education call, the question form and the weekly room with the right wording for your country, and sets them up when you create the account.
